Air & Compressed Air Filters
The intake filter removes airborne particles before compression to prevent rotor and vane wear. The outlet separator (or oil-removal filter) separates entrained oil from compressed air to ensure downstream air quality. Both roles are complementary and neither can substitute for the other.
Typically every 2,000–4,000 operating hours, or when the differential pressure indicator trips. In dusty or mining environments this interval can drop to 500 hours. Always use genuine OEM elements to maintain compressor warranty.
No. Air filter elements are single-use and must be replaced once differential pressure exceeds the design limit. Blowing with compressed air damages microfibre media, sharply reducing filtration efficiency and allowing fine particles to enter the compressor.
Our elements are designed and tested to ISO 8573-1 (air quality), ISO 12500 (compressed air filter performance), and DIN ISO 2941. Laboratory certificates for Classes 1–4 are available on request.
Oil & Lubricant Filters
Rotary screw compressors use large volumes of oil for sealing, cooling and lubrication, so their filter elements require higher dirt-holding capacity and a higher Beta Ratio. Reciprocating compressors operate at more variable pressures and temperatures, requiring elements resistant to pressure shock.
Non-OEM elements increase the risk of premature wear, oil contamination and bearing failure. PowerSep manufactures cross-reference elements to identical technical specifications at competitive prices — share your compressor part number and we will recommend the exact match.
Typically every 1,000–2,000 hours for mineral oils and 4,000–8,000 hours for synthetic oils. The oil filter element must always be changed simultaneously with the oil to prevent residual contaminants from the old oil entering the fresh charge.
Gas Filters & Separators
In natural gas, petrochemical and power-generation lines, condensed liquids (water and liquid hydrocarbons) must be removed before turbines, compressors or burners to prevent liquid hammer and corrosion. PowerSep separators operate at pressures up to 100 bar and temperatures from -40 °C to +200 °C.
Yes. Sour-gas filters are available with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 carbon steel bodies and sulphur-resistant elements. For H₂S applications, exact H₂S concentration and system pressure must be specified to ensure correct material selection — please consult our engineering team.
A coalescer collects very fine liquid aerosols (oil mist or water) by merging them on glass-fibre media into larger droplets; effective for particles below 1 µm. A separator (knock-out drum) removes coarser liquids by density difference and centrifugal force. In precision systems both are used in series.
Installation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Before fitting, blow out the housing interior with clean, low-pressure air to remove machining swarf. Hand-tighten the element without tools — avoid gloves to feel correct torque. Lubricate O-ring seals with clean oil to ensure a proper seal and prevent cuts during assembly.
Common causes: 1) element at end of service life and saturated with contaminant; 2) incorrect micron rating selected; 3) sudden upstream contamination from failure of another system component; 4) wax/solidified-oil cake in oil filters caused by a sudden temperature drop. Accurate diagnosis requires reviewing the differential pressure trend over time.

Purchasing, Quotation & Support
Simply send us the part number printed on the old element or the compressor model and serial number via the contact form or our sales team. Our engineers will provide an exact cross-reference with a comparative technical datasheet within one business day.
For standard in-stock products the MOQ is one piece. For OEM or non-standard dimension orders, MOQ ranges from 50 to 500 pieces depending on the element type. Volume discounts are available for large-scale projects.
In-stock items: 1–3 business days in Tehran, 3–5 business days for other provinces. OEM or custom-production orders: 2–6 weeks depending on complexity and quantity. For urgent projects we do our best to minimise lead time with advance notice.
Yes. All PowerSep products carry an 18-month warranty from the date of sale or 12 months from commissioning, whichever comes first. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship; it excludes damage caused by incorrect installation or operation outside specified parameters.
